On March 1st, 2025, ToxTails, Port Macquarie’s premier charity gala, returned in spectacular style, bringing together the region’s finest for an unforgettable evening of fundraising, entertainment, and celebration.
Proudly sponsored by Regional Australia Bank, this year’s event raised over $63,000, bringing the total funds raised since ToxTails’ inception in 2022 to an incredible $180,000 over four years.
Held at the Port Macquarie Racecourse, the event provided a stunning backdrop for a night of generosity, glamour, and community spirit.
The event was created by Dr. Kristy Kostalas, local GP and owner of Port Medical Aesthetics Clinic, with the name Toxtails being a play on words, reflecting both the cocktail-style event and the cosmetic clinic's industry ties.
With proceeds supporting Liberty Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Services, the generosity of our guests and sponsors continues to make a tangible impact—providing emergency accommodation, legal aid, and essential support services for those in need.
A speech by Les Bailey, COO of Regional Australia Bank, highlighted the importance of financial support for women escaping domestic violence situations. Les spoke passionately about the critical need for financial freedom and protection from financial abuse—values aligned to Regional Australia Bank’s mission.
The bank proudly embraced their role in the night —advocating for regional prosperity and as active partners in addressing challenges impacting their communities.
Their close collaboration with Liberty Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Services cements this commitment. Les Bailey’s powerful words echoed throughout the evening, reminding everyone that “change starts with all of us.”
The Port Macquarie Racecourse was transformed into an elegant, inviting space thanks to the stunning event styling by Willow Days, with event lighting provided by Letz Get Lit, creating a spectacular ambiance for the night.
As a special treat, the first 200 guests were gifted a Chemist Warehouse entry bag, each valued at over $150, packed with luxury skincare and wellness products.
Food was an undeniable highlight of the evening, with Char Bar delivering a stunning selection of gourmet canapés that kept guests well-fed as they mingled.
The evening’s drinks selection was equally impressive, featuring craft gin cocktails from Three Wise Men Gin Distillery, adding a touch of refinement to the night’s offerings. Guests were also treated to the signature ToxTail Cocktail, a specially crafted drink exclusive to the event, which became a standout favorite among attendees. Adding to the fun, the interactive champagne wall allowed guests to press a button and have a chilled bottle elegantly delivered straight into their hands—a truly VIP experience.
For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert table was generously stocked by Any Occasion Cakes and Party Food and Cassera’s Bakehouse, offering a decadent array of treats that were as beautiful as they were delicious.
Live entertainment for the night was provided by the talented Rhys Callinan, whose acoustic set and dynamic live music created the perfect backdrop for an evening of celebration and generosity.
ToxTails 2025 was made even more exciting with the presence of special guest Bec Judd, ambassador for The Skincare Company, who added a touch of star power to the evening.
In support of the cause, Bec and The Skincare Company generously donated an incredible selection of raffle prizes worth thousands of dollars, drawing immense excitement from attendees and significantly boosting fundraising efforts.
Beyond the fundraising, guests were treated to breathtaking performances and interactive experiences that made ToxTails 2025 truly unforgettable.
The night featured two electrifying dance acts from the talented Port Macquarie Performing Arts (PMPA) dancers, who captivated the audience with their precision, energy, and artistry. Adding to the spectacle, world champion Lyra artist Sara
Pirovano from Eclipse Lyra Fitness stunned guests with an awe-inspiring aerial performance, showcasing incredible strength and elegance as she soared through the air with effortless grace.
For those looking to capture the magic of the night, the Spinning Car Booth by Glam Cam was a major hit, allowing attendees to create glamorous 360-degree videos of their evening in style. Laughter, creativity, and unforgettable moments were shared as guests struck their best poses while spinning in cinematic slow motion.
ToxTails 2025 featured a range of interactive fundraising stalls, each offering guests the chance to win prizes while supporting a worthy cause:
One of the evening’s biggest highlights was the live charity auction, presented by Dr. Kristy Kostalas, where guests bid generously on an impressive range of prizes.
Among the standout auction items was an exclusive signed Matildas jersey, which fetched an impressive price, drawing strong interest from passionate football fans. Equally sought after was a private dining experience at The Stunned Mullet, where the winning bidder would enjoy a bespoke culinary experience at one of Port Macquarie’s most acclaimed restaurants.
However, the highest bidding item of the night was an original framed canvas artwork by local artist Lois Sallustio, a breathtaking piece that captivated art lovers and sparked a spirited bidding war.
Behind the scenes, an amazing group of volunteers worked tirelessly to bring Toxtails 2025 to life.
The evening’s logistics were supported by generous volunteers who transported key event elements, including the PMAC photo banner wall and giveaway boxes from Chemist Warehouse, ensuring everything was in place for a seamless event.
Every moment of the event was beautifully captured by our talented photographers, Blake Avery and Gavin Moroney, along with videographers from Silver Quinn Productions. Their stunning work has preserved the magic of the evening, allowing guests to relive the night’s highlights and showcasing the community’s generosity and spirit.
With yet another record-breaking year, the countdown to Toxtails 2026 has already begun.
We can’t wait to welcome you back for another unforgettable evening of glamour, generosity, and giving.
Until next year—thank you for being part of the Toxtails legacy.
