LIGHT EMITTING DIODE (LED) THERAPY

PMAC provides both traditional Heallite II and also Medilux LED light therapy.

Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) non-ablative skin surface treatment system that uses light delivered through light emitting diodes to deliver pure light in precise wavelengths for the treatment of acne, superficial skin lesions, relieving pain, promoting skin rejuvenation and others. With Medilux we also offer near infrared light therapy for targeted dermal repair.

Depending on the colour of the light used, LED therapy can target different skin issues. Red and near-infrared lights are most commonly used for their anti-ageing benefits, as they penetrate deeper into the skin and can promote collagen production, reduce inflammation, and enhance circulation.

We offer Heallite II Treatments in our clinic for quite a few different skin concerns, including not only anti-ageing but also acne, wound/scar healing and inflammation.

ABOUT OUR LED TREATMENTS

All manner of skin concerns can be treated with LED. We recommend 2 a week for 4 weeks depending on the skin concerns. Alternatively you can ask your skin therapist for an LED treatment before or after your skin treatment to boost the results!

If you are having surgery we highly recommend the use of LED 24 hours prior to the area of interest, and every 2 days after the original surgical dressing has been removed. LED has been shown to reduce bruising and scarring, and reduce post-operative pain.

Treatments take 13-25 minutes per area.
